This beautifully crafted double-sided measuring spoon is such a unique addition to my tea accessory collection. Made from eco-friendly pakkawood, it has gorgeous layered grain patterns and rich, deep black tones that give it a really distinctive look.

If you're not familiar with pakkawood, it's created by layering thin sheets of wood veneer with resin and bonding them together under pressure. This process creates those beautiful layered patterns while making the material durable, stable, and more resistant to moisture than ordinary wood. No two pieces have quite the same look, which makes each one feel special.

But it's not just pretty to look at! One end features a tablespoon measure and the other a teaspoon, so there's no need to reach for multiple spoons when preparing your tea. And let's be honest, there are days when that tablespoon side is exactly what you need for an extra caffeine buzz! The smaller teaspoon side is perfect for a lighter measure, a little sugar, or even brewing a smaller teacup when you don't need a full mug.

The elongated 9-inch handle will be handy for reaching into deeper tea canisters, containers, and jars without getting my hands buried in the contents.

I have to first say: the photos do absolutely no justice to this amazing piece of "tea equipment".  The grain of the wood is beautiful.  It has some "heft"; not overly heavy, but enough weight to know that it is a quality piece.  It's comfortable to hold and it is just a perfect addition to your tea ritual.

Many (many, many) moons ago, when I first got into loose leaf tea, I wasn't concerned about having all of the tools to make my tea time special.  Give me the tea, put it in a strainer, and pour the water in.  Now, over the years, as my tea experiences have grown and matured, the ritual and methodical parts of my brew sessions have become more....bougee.  LOL.

I've purchased and been gifted several spoons that are labeled as "the perfect spoon" for measuring tea.  Many of us have them: metal, some covered in a pretty enamel color, and a fancy addition to our tea time.  This measuring spoon brings so much more: it brings enchantment to your tea time and adds to your ceremonial vibe.

I love a functional tea accessory, and this is just that. Made of sturdy Pakkawood, this measuring spoon has a tablespoon and a teaspoon side. Visually, this is just stunning and it also feels very nice in the hand (it’s smooth and not weird feeling at all). The tablespoon side is perfect for a pot of tea and the teaspoon side is good for a cup with an infuser basket (I usually use two for one cup of tea). This is a very practical and useful tea accessory!

The packaging was simple and beautiful. You can really tell it was packaged with care. The spoon was delicately wrapped in brown paper and the tea packets were bound in string.
The spoon has a gorgeous design much like the rings in a tree. I read that pakka wood is often used in making Japanese knife handles and is super durable. That said, I am unsure of it is dishwasher safe. I would er on the side of caution and hand wash only.
Aesthetically, the spoon is lovely The measurements labeled, which is nice. I love the earthy vibes.
This is perfect for scooping and measuring your tea.

This measuring spoon is beautiful. The colors really pop. The size is perfect to wrap your hand around it comfortably. The finish is nice and smooth, and doesn't slip in your hand when you use it. It scoops tea easily, and the tea doesn't fall back in the package. Use one end when making a cup for yourself, and the other end for a small pot to share. Will make your tea time more elegant.
