Little Desk Things

Honey Bee Wooden Plant Pot Companions – Set of 2 | Handmade in England

A cheerful pair of little honey bees ready to settle amongst your houseplants. These hand-painted wooden Plant Pot Companions bring a playful garden-inspired touch to indoor greenery, with each bee set on a different length of wire so they can sit naturally at different heights amongst leaves and stems.

The Plant Pot Companions grew from the artist’s love of collecting little treasures — hedgerow finds, pieces of ephemera and interesting objects that gradually become part of the home. Although designed for plant pots, these little bees are just as happy tucked into picture frames, seasonal tablescapes, wreaths, garlands or other decorative displays.

Each companion begins with an original pen-and-ink drawing by an artist inspired by her loved ones, favourite creatures and walks through the Devon countryside with her trusty sidekick, Ned. The designs are laser-cut and engraved from wood before being carefully painted by hand. Each bee is then attached to a wire stem, backed with recycled paper and finished as a charming decorative companion for the home.

Red Poppy & Poppy Head Wooden Plant Pot Companions – Set of 2 | Handmade in England

A little celebration of the poppy in two beautiful stages of its life. This hand-painted set of two wooden Plant Pot Companions features one red poppy in bloom and one poppy seed head, each set on a different length of wire so they can sit naturally amongst the leaves and stems of your favourite houseplants.

The Plant Pot Companions grew from the artist’s love of collecting little treasures — hedgerow finds, pieces of ephemera and interesting objects that gradually become part of the home. Although designed for plant pots, these little poppies are just as happy tucked into picture frames, seasonal tablescapes, wreaths, garlands or other decorative displays.

Each companion begins with an original pen-and-ink drawing by an artist inspired by her loved ones, favourite plants and walks through the Devon countryside with her trusty sidekick, Ned. The designs are laser-cut and engraved from wood before being carefully painted by hand. Each piece is then attached to a wire stem, backed with recycled paper and prepared as a charming decorative companion for the home.
